October 12, 2023 — Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner, the frontrunner for the GOP nomination to challenge Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), issued the following statement today in response to a federal indictment charging Menendez with acting as a foreign agent by disclosing U.S. government information to the government of Egypt.
“This new indictment against Gold Bar Bob changes nothing. He and the Democrats who enabled his corruption should have to face the voters of New Jersey as their ultimate judges. New Jersey deserves better than this cabal, and I am the leader who will bring integrity back to this Senate seat. I will fight against the bosses in Washington on behalf of the hardworking families across New Jersey who are struggling in this destructive Biden-Menendez economy.”
